The “moveable city” originates from the redefinition of the concept of fixed and permanent architecture in favour of a new approach: unprecedented architectural and town-planning elements for an entirely moveable city. It is the citizens themselves who build their own city, transforming it each time they do so, moving round the buildings, roads and gardens so as to allow for ever new and innovative combinations providing a wide range of functions. La Ciudad transportable, a project in the making, an urban installation on the concept of contemporary mobility made of aluminium-frame tents. At the station of Modena, the artists propose a display with an interactive CD, with which everyone can build their own ideal city by moving around the various architectural shapes.
